In this Prairie home update, six ceiling sections sweep up to the lofty central apex of the hexagonal great room, living room and dining area. The roomy kitchen’s raised eating bar rims the peninsular counter that bounds the expansive space on one side, while a gas fireplace offers color and warmth on the other. Bedrooms and utilities are at the rear.

We received these photographs showing the construction process of our Eagleton log cabin home plan. This spacious contemporary log cabin plan is designed as a vacation retreat, but has all the amenities needed for year-round living. Sparkling windows, stacked three high, fill most of the prow-shaped, A-frame front wall. Its well-organized kitchen has a cook-top work island and is open to the vaulted great room.
