Developer plans new homes for Crescent Village

When the Butlers were looking for their company’s next construction project, they knew that it needed to be something different from the homes that the company had been building for the past few years.

“The market has changed,” says Mandi Butler. “People are looking for different design features in a home than they were 10 or even 5 years ago. Our lifestyles are changing; we all have less time and want to be conscious of how we use that time.”

Future B Homes is very familiar with the North Gilham area and when they heard that there was an opportunity to design new single family homes in Crescent Village, the company saw this opportunity as a chance to build homes for today’s lifestyle.

Very few builders are building speculative homes in the current economy, but the Butlers believe the company has enough market knowledge and experience to deliver what buyers want. “Crescent Village provides the low maintenance, convenience and efficiency that people are demanding in their homes now.”

Future B Homes has been developing neighborhoods in North Eugene for over 30 years. Robert and Dorothy Butler built one of the company’s first homes on Crescent Avenue, and two generations later the family is following in their grandparents footsteps, having constructed over 200 homes in some of North Eugene’s premier neighborhoods: River Pointe, Crescent Meadows and, most recently, Hawthorne Estates.

Future B Homes has designed two styles of homes for Crescent Village. The look will be very similar to the three story homes that line the east side of Lord Byron Place currently, but will have one-story less than their three-story cousins. The model home, on the front lot of Lord Byron, will be showcased on this year’s Tour of Homes.

“Both home styles will have the master bedroom on the main level, which is a trend that we have found appeals to all types of people,” said Mandi. “Plus we have incorporated open living spaces that connect the living, dining and kitchen area. Despite the smaller footprint, the home will provide very generous storage areas, as well as flex spaces.

Construction is in the “home” stretch on the Crestview (also known as the Barrett) hexagonal design. The clients are hoping to make the big move in February. We hope the final phase of construction goes smoothly and look forward to the final walk-through.

Construction Photos of the Pendleton 10-140

By admin | 13th Oct 2010 | Filed under Blog, Constructed Home Plans

We are very fortunate to get to follow the construction of our Pendleton home plan. Our client modified the original design to include a walk-out daylight basement for their downward sloping beautiful lake front property.

Our hexagonal home plans are designed to allow you to take in the view from every living area of the home. With 30 plans of varied sizes and styles you will find the best selection of this design style direct from Associated Designs. As with this client, we can modify the planto suit how you live in your home and fully maximize your lot’s potential.

The panoramic vista from the vaulted, hexagonal great room looks out over a wide railed deck that spans the entire rear of this contemporary home plan. Its kitchen has two peninsular counters, one with a raised eating bar. The vaulted owners’ suite is well isolated from secondary bedrooms and their shared bathroom.

Construction of the Aspen 30-025 House Plan

By admin | 15th Sep 2010 | Filed under Blog, Constructed Home Plans

We are very happy to receive the following photographs from clients showing the construction of the Aspen house plan using standard 2×6 framing and a conform block basement foundation. Here is what they had to say about their building process and a few changes they’ve made along the way:

“We are in the process of construction of the Aspen design on our beautiful lake property.  These are some pictures taken through Sept 8th.  The framing should be complete early next week so windows can be ordered.  We expect full enclosure with siding, shingles, windows and doors before the first snowfall.  Our building contractor changed the I beam direction as shown in the interior photos.  The basement is 6 foot ceiling and set for furnace, water, other utility and storage.  The master suite has a slider instead of window and door.  The window on the master wall is narrowed for placement of furniture.  We also added an exterior door (like the Kodiak) onto the utility room for a “mud entrance”.  The fire stove in the great room has been changed to a see through wood burning fireplace between the great room and the master suite.  We will update you with new photos when exterior has been completed.

Thank you for a wonderful design.” – Mr. & Mrs. R
