A welcoming porch spans the front of this contemporary townhome with a Mediterranean flavor. One window-bright room comprises the dining room, living room and kitchen. A partially covered rear patio is accessible from this gathering space. The owners’ suite is on the ground floor; two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a loft are upstairs.
This spacious prairie-style home is designed for construction on land that slopes up at the rear. On the main (upper) floor, a large great room with a fireplace is completely open to an even larger room that comprises the dining room and kitchen. The owners’ suite is on the main floor, and more bedrooms are below. Both levels have covered decks and/or patios.
This compact ranch-style home exudes a measure of traditional country charm, while being fairly inexpensive to build and maintain. A conversation bar fronts the kitchen’s long work island, which doubles as a dining room buffet. Standing at the kitchen sink, you can keep tabs on the porch and rear yard, while staying attuned to indoor activities.

Inside, the foyer opens out into a bright and spacious area that comprises the living room, dining area and kitchen. The owners’ suite it at the rear, while two bedrooms, a loft, and a third bathroom are upstairs.
From the street, this small ranch-style home looks pleasantly symmetrical. Inside, vaulted ceilings in the linked gathering spaces help create a sense of expansiveness. While tending pots on the built-in range, the cook can serve snacks at the eating bar, supervise homework, and keep tabs on activities in the living/dining area as well as on the patio.
This southwestern home plan features bold tapered columns that accent corners, porch, and echo the shape of chimney. Columns bound bright foyer, vaulted dining room and living room. The vaulted family room with fireplace is open to kitchen with sunny nook.
Stone veneer wainscoting accents this ranch-style home’s three-car garage and covers the porch’s bold column supports. In the great room, windows flank a fireplace that provides warmth while creating a colorful and relaxing focal point when skies are gray or dark. Kitchen workers can survey most everything by looking out across the eating bar.
In this Craftsman update, vaulted ceilings give an expansive feel to the foyer, living room, dining room, den, and front bedroom. The kitchen is open to the richly windowed living/dining area, across a counter with a range and oven on one side, and a gently curved eating bar on the other. A tray ceiling adds to the elegance of the deluxe owners’ suite.
With its single-level floor plan and central great room, the ranch style Lake Creek is equally well suited to the needs of growing families or empty nesters. Wide windows fill most of the rear wall, next to a fireplace nestled into the right-hand corner. Standing at the kitchen sink, you can observe the great room across a raised eating bar, plus the dining area and patio.
