The ranch-style Ottawa 30-601 cabin was built by Kent Smith of KLS Construction and his wife Jodie of Jodie Smith Real Estate in the beautiful McKenzie River Valley. The following photo tour showcases the quality construction and finishes that blend this house with it’s natural scenic location.
Abundant natural light washes into the vaulted and spacious great room that forms the core of this home. Shelves fill one wall, while a gas fireplace nestles into a front corner. The kitchen, too, is vaulted, and bounded by a diagonal eating bar/counter. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms fill the left wing.

In this Cape Cod-style beach cottage, the main floor is one flight up from ground level. The vaulted living room is open to the dining room, which is linked to the kitchen. Glass sparkles across most of the rear wall, so these joined areas are both bright and spacious. The vaulted owners’ suite boasts a large bathroom with a deep soaking tub and walk-in closet.

The Camas house plan is complete! The happy couple moved into their Craftsman stylehome over the 4th of July holiday. “We really enjoyed the construction process and making this a home for us with our own personal touches. The crew from Gansen Construction were both professional and fun”, said Mrs. C.

The couple modified the original design to accommodate the lot, trim construction costs, and accommodate their living style. Changes included a full mirror reverse, adding french doors in the foyer accessing the bedroom which will be used as a music room, modifying the owners’ suite bathroom and walk-in closet area, and pulled the front of the house forward and straightened out the rear wall of the house. The new spin-off version of this design will soon be released as the Dogwood.
