Bold posts highlight the vaulted porte cochere and entry of this roomy single-story Craftsman cottage house plan. At the rear, the vaulted living room flows seamlessly into a combination kitchen and bayed dining room. A generously sized utility room and mud hall is just around the corner.

Russellville 30-724
                      

This single-level Craftsman cottage is only 41 feet wide, yet its vaulted family gathering area is refreshingly bright and spacious. Light spills into the vaulted kitchen through a large skylight and a window fronting the sink. It’s easy to keep your eye on everything from there, including dancing flames in the vaulted living room’s gas fireplace.

Lakeside 10-551
         

Light spills into the vaulted entry of this classic European cottage home plan through sidelights and a transom. The vaulted family room flows into the nook, where it’s open to the kitchen across a long, multi-angled eating bar. Up front, a gas fireplace graces the vaulted living room. Upstairs, a railed balcony overlooks the family room and links bedrooms.

Dalneigh 30-709

An extensive array of shared spaces fills the core and left side of this cottage house plan; bedrooms line up along the right. The generously sized living room is fully open to the vaulted nook, and visually open to the kitchen. The kitchen has a wealth of counters and cabinets, including a central cook-top work island and a roomy corner pantry.

Barlow 30-694

Vaulted ceilings in the foyer and great room create a sense of spaciousness in what is actually a fairly compact cottage house plan. Windows flank the gas fireplace that graces the rear of a great room with a dining area on one side. A peninsular counter/eating bar marks the boundary between the dining area and a kitchen with a roomy pantry.

This two-story country-style cottage house plan is well-suited to the needs of a growing family. It has a luxurious owners’ suite on the ground floor, and three more bedrooms plus a bonus room/fifth bedroom upstairs.
