You and other readers are the true experts when it comes to what contemporary families really want. Some like a formal dining or living room, while others would fill that space with a home office and exercise room. For others, a great room open to the kitchen is the only gathering space they need. With ecological awareness on the rise, many more families are considering “green building” techniques and projects. But what do most people actually want?
Once we have compiled the responses, we will design a home based on the preferences that emerge. That home will be ready for publication in approximately three months. Last year resulted in the Heartington 10-550, a stately ranch style home.
